The beast layed low, but then when she least expected it he tried to attack her again, but just before his giant claw with it her it stopped. Again. She still had both her hands in the air, but then slowly started to move them apart. The beast cried out in pain. Then again she asked him the question. “Will you join me?”

The beast sank through his knees and accepted his fate. Marana walked towards him and touched his head. The yellow energy now too was sparking out of his eyes. As they where trading thoughts, as if she was telling him what she was up to. Then she grabbed something the normal eye couldn’t see and pulled it out of the beast into a empty scroll she was carying.

The remaining body fell on the floor, lifeless, dead. when she blinked with her eyes, all the energy faded and she touched the dead carcass and thanked it for it’s service. She whispered she was happy he understood the situation and that his spirit would be a amazing support to the family.

Elled started to clap. “Bravo! Well done” he shouted to her. “Your first capture, nearly without my help.” Marana looked and smiled. “Thank you.” she said shyly. The man walked towards the dead animal and pet it like it still was alive. “Time for food.”

It flew by, saw Elled and went towards him. Then sat down on his shoulder awaiting further instructions. Elled felt it was from Sevan, since the sender has to send a certain amount of life energy with it. He said the password and the bird jumped down and transformed into a shady version of Sevan.

“They’ve found me, I’m not sure how, I’m not sure who. But the last week has been nothing but trouble. I feel I’m captured already they are just waiting for the right moment. Maybe until I would call out to you. You know I never would if it would be something silly.” the image stuttered and disappeared. And so did the bird.

There was a silence. Elled looked sad. Marana ran towards him and hugged him. “Don’t be sad, Elled. It’s going to be fine.”  It was something she just did, it was something she knew how to do. Comforting someone with such an ease, it almost seemed her second nature. Elled tried to
